It's The Little Things

....that make ALL the difference.

BEFORE                                                                                              AFTER

Before: Makeup is just thrown in a bag that is supposed to be organized, but somehow manages to never work out that way for me.

Complete chaos. I'm actually sort of embarrassed this is so gross!

Just simply NO way for a lady to behave.

After: Ahh, let the serenity begin. Everything now has a home and is easy to access.

Vintage ice cream sunday glasses now hold brushes, eye pencils and liquid liners.

A clear cookie jar now holds lots of shadows and loose powders.

My favorite "go to" polishes are now separated into Summer (neutrals & brights) and Fall (dark & opulent), which makes choosing a color, a more focused decision.

Now, my very favorite perfumes are on display, while my others (i still love you, but you just didn't make the dresser top cut) are now tucked safely away in the dressers cabinets. My sweet little Alice in Wonderland Tray now acts as a perfect holder for important items that don't easily fit into a cup or jar.

This week has been a week of taking control of my life. I know what you're thinking, cleaning your filthy dresser isn't exactly life changing, more like a standard in being sanitary, and why on earth are you being so dramatic? Well, for the past year, Gavin (my 2 yr old) has had a hard time sleeping through the night. The truth is, he doesn't. And even worse, he needs a bottle in the middle of the night, every night, and guess who gets to make it?...ya, me. Lately the sleeping issue morphed into a beast all it's own, so the hubby and I had to make the decision to sleep train. Details aside, it has gone amazingly well and with this new found energy (thank you 8 hrs of uninterrupted sleep), I have been inspired to take even more control of my life, starting with, what else?....my beauty routine! No more digging through the endless abyss for a little bit of concealer and blush.

Happy Weekend Everyone!
