Dreaming

....of lace, chiffon and warm summer evenings.

It's cold here in Seattle, but this picutre from last weeks maternity session is bringing me back to the warmth of Southern California (sigh). I will try to embrace the cold for the next few weeks while we're here, but secretly, i'll be longing for the sun.

A Lovely Shower

...for a most lovely friend.

I am so happy for my good friends Loni and Evan. They are expecting their first baby together, in February (due date is right around my bday!!) and in case you didn't catch all the pink and frills...it's a girl! I'm doubly excited because this weekend, Loni and her hubby will be driving down to LA, from San Francisco, so we can capture her in her most beautiful condition...hello maternity photos!

During my trip to San Francisco last month, to shoot this gorgeous couples wedding, I was able to aslo throw Loni a little shower. Okay, so all I actually did was the invites, favors and cupcake toppers (favors & toppers by Aunties Jammies), but still, I was happy to be a part of such a wonderful occasion.

Congrats you two, and I can't wait to see you in less than 24 hours for a seriously gorgeous maternity session!

All photos shot on Fuji 400 H Pro and processed and scanned at the ever fabulous Richard Photo Lab

Confessions

....of a holiday-holic.

Our house has been decorated for Christmas since November 9th and we aren't ashamed of it.
What's your socially awkward obsession?...ours is clearly celebrating the holiday festivities months in advance .

p.s. I can't even tell you how much I love the fact, that after lil man snuck a candy cane out of the jar, he put the lid back on. A guy after my own heart :)

Anticipation is Never More Beautiful

It's A Beautiful Night

....for a most beautiful celebration.

I absolutely adored shooting this beautiful engagement party. The Persian culture is just so mesmerizing to me and I loved witnessing and documenting all the wonderful traditions through out the night. So much emotion and happiness exudes from this family and I am so happy to have been there to capture it.

 Happy Tuesday!

A Day At The Pumpkin Patch

....on film.

This last weekend we decided to trek it all the way over to Underwood Farms, for their punkin patch...and boy am I glad we did! Ya see, Mr.Bones just wasn't gonna cut it for me this year and I was lookin for something a little more hard core...a little more legit. Let me be the first to say, Underwood Farms is too legit to quit.

Since it's no secret that i LOVE film and prefer to shoot on it over digital, I decided to bring the film camera and 1 roll of Fuji 400 H Pro. I'm pleased to say every pic is a gem (in my opinion) except for this one where James looks like he's inebriated and happy about it. Okay, okay, so they can't ALL be gems I guess, but we got pretty close ;)

Please, if you live in So Cal, do yourself a favor and hit up "the patch," as I like to call it, now that I think we have a long history together, the patch and I. There are train rides (pictured above), which according to my hubby's face are just the bees knees, petting zoos, pumpkin bread, pig racing, pumpkin carving and everything else you can think of that a seriously legit patch should have.

Happy Friday!

P.S. I totally wore my red flannel too. That's how us Molens roll...in the hay.
