I Just Wanna Say
....Thank You to Stacy Jacobsen. Stacy has been one of my best friends since high school. Now, I'm no math whiz, but that's like10 or more years! Siner, as I call her (don't ask, it's kinda dumb and no one would get it) was my partner in crime. Only difference between us was, she could get away with goofing off with me in class, totally NOT paying attention and still get an A, where I, well, lets just say I was on the "special" side. I have always admired Siner, she's confident, smart, tech savvy, a mother to 3 boys (ya, that's right, 3!), a wife (her home looks like it belongs in a catalogue) and to top it all off, she's an amazing photographer! Oh and did I mention, she also has a design shop?? Ya, no biggie. Sheesh. How does one person do it all?? Not only does she take care of a family, but she also runs a EXTREMELY successful business. I'm not kidding when I say, I have NEVER met someone that works harder than she does and her GORGEOUS work is proof of that. Between you and me, I don't really even think she sleeps. When I first started getting into photography, Siner was already a seasoned pro, with work coming out her eyeballs. Yet, when I asked her to show me the ropes, she didn't even flinch -- the answer was yes. She helped me build my portfolio, helped me understand my camera, gave me resources, gave me constructive criticism, practical knowledge and above all, she gave me precious experience. I honestly don't even know what kind of a mess I'd be right now if it weren't for her guiding me and really, holding my hand like a 2-year old crossing the street. I was THAT helpless. But, here I am. Somewhere along the way I grew a brain (phew!), and confidence, and the ability to figure it out, without her hand. I have a set number of people I look up to. People that I think, "ya, i could use a dose of what they've got" which is Ann speak for "I can learn a lesson from this person," and Siner is one of those people. So, from the deepest place in my heart, "Thank You Siner," for being a wonderful mentor and an even better friend.
